МОВНІ ЗАСОБИ ОПИСУ НЕВЕРБАЛЬНОЇ КОМУНІКАЦІЇ ФЕНТЕЗІЙНИХ ІСТОТ (НА ПРИКЛАДІ РОМАНІВ ДЖОАН РОЛІНҐ)

Abstract

Стаття присвячена вивченню мовних засобів невербальної комунікації фентезійних істот на прикладі романів Дж. Ролінґ про Гаррі Поттера. Твори художньої літератури відображають дійсність у всіх її виявах, а літературні персонажі мають свій неповторний характер, з яким вони живуть, спілкуються, обмінюються емоціями, тому актуальність теми дослідження зумовлена як важливістю невербального компоненту комунікації при спілкуванні взагалі, так і тим фактом, що засоби невербальної комунікації кожного окремного персонажа дозволяють не лише більш точно уявити його зовнішність, а і глибше зрозуміти характер персонажа; водночас аналіз мовних засобів невербальної комунікації фентезійних персонажів у романах Дж. Ролінґ дозволяє глибше проникнути в ідейну тканину її творів та зрозуміти специфіку художнього дискурсу фентезі письменниці. Матеріалом дослідження слугують романи Дж. Ролінґ про Гаррі Поттера, в яких фентезійні персонажі представлені на рівні із персонажами-людьми, що дозволяє вивчити специфіку репрезентації їх невербальної комунікації як складової комунікації всіх персонажів роману. Метою дослідження постає визначення особливостей мовної репрезентації засобів невербальної комунікації фентезійних істот у романах Дж. Ролінґ. У ході дослідження визначено поняття невербальної комунікації, досліджено функції та класифікацію засобів невербальної комунікації та проаналізовано конкретні мовні засоби невербальної комунікації фентезійних персонажів у романах Дж. Ролінґ про Гаррі Поттера. Проведене дослідження демонструє, що, оскільки в магічному всесвіті письменниці фентезійні істоти існують на рівні з людськими, а цільовою аудиторією романів є діти, невербальна комунікація фентезійних істот побідна до невербальної комунікації людини. Засобами вербалізації невербальної комунікації фентезійних істот в романах письменниці є як засоби первинної номінації (дієслова та іменники, які можуть використовуватися як окремо, так і з додаванням описових конструкцій та використовуються для опису фактичної поведінки персонажів), так і засоби вторинної номінації (фразеологічні одиниці, метафори, епітети та гіперболи, що концентруються на емоційному відображенні засобів невербальної комунікації фентезійних істот). The article deals with the study of linguistic means of non-verbal communication of fantasy creatures based on J. Rowling’s novels about Harry Potter. Literary works reflect the reality in all its manifestations, and literary characters have their own unique nature with which they live, communicate, exchange emotions, therefore the relevance of the research topic is justified by both the importance of the non-verbal component of communication in communication in general, and by the fact that the means of non-verbal communication of each individual character allow readers not only to more accurately imagine his / her appearance, but also to understand the nature of the character more deeply; at the same time, the analysis of language means of non-verbal communication of fantasy characters in J. Rowling’s novels allows penetrating deeper into the ideological fabric of her works and to understand the specifics of the writer’s fantasy literary discourse. The research material is J. Rowling’s novels about Harry Potter, in which fantasy characters are presented at the same level as human characters, which allows us to study the specifics of representing their non-verbal communication as a component of the communication of all characters in the novel. The aim of the study is to determine the peculiarities of the language representation of the means of non-verbal communication of fantasy creatures in J. Rowling’s novels. In the course of the study, the concept of non-verbal communication was defined, the functions and classification of non-verbal means of communication were investigated, and the specific linguistic means of fantasy characters’ non-verbal communication in J. Rowling’s novels about Harry Potter were analyzed. The conducted research demonstrates that since in the magical universe of the writer, fantasy creatures exist on an equal condition with human ones, and the target audience of these novels are children, the non-verbal communication of fantasy creatures is similar to the non-verbal communication of a person. The means of verbalizing non-verbal communication of fantasy creatures in the novels by the writer are both means of primary nomination (verbs and nouns that can be used both separately and with the addition of descriptive constructions to characterize the actual behavior of characters), and means of secondary nomination (phraseological units, metaphors, epithets and hyperboles that focus on the emotional display of the means of non-verbal communication of fantasy creatures).
