РЕАЛІЗАЦІЯ ЕТНОКОНЦЕПТУ “BUSH” В АВСТРАЛІЙСЬКИХ ХУДОЖНІХ ТЕКСТАХ ДЛЯ ДІТЕЙ (НА МАТЕРІАЛІ КОРОТКИХ ОПОВІДАНЬ ДОРОТІ ВОЛЛ «БЛІНКІ БІЛЛ»)

Abstract

Статтю присвячено дослідженню лінгвостилістичних засобів актуалізації етноконцепту BUSH у коротких оповіданнях Дороті Волл «Блінкі Білл». Змодельовано поняттєву площину зазначеного етноконцепту й описано засоби її образного переосмислення в художньому тексті для дітей. Статья посвящена исследованию лингвостилистических средств актуализации этноконцепта BUSH в кратких рассказах Дороти Уолл «Блинки Билл». Смоделирована понятийная плоскость указанного этноконцепта и описаны средства ее образного переосмысления в художественном тексте для детей. The article is focused on the study of linguostylistic means of realisation of the ethnoconcept BUSH in Dorothy Wall’s short stories “Blinky Bill”. The article proposes an overview of the main approaches to the study of the concept in the 2

context of culturology, cognitive semantics and semiotics. The concept structure is considered as consisiting of three layers in particular conceptual, figurative and valuable. The ethnoconcept BUSH is defined in the article as the concept that occupies an important place in the Australian concept sphere and that accumulates specific national aspects of the Australian realities. The conceptual plane of the ethnoconcept BUSH is modelled by extracting the implicit meanings that structuralize it from the definitions of the lexeme bush and its compatibility in explanatory and etymological dictionaries. It is clarified the basic implications of the conceptual plane of the ethnoconcept BUSH that include the understanding of the bush as a wild uncultivated part of Australia; sparsely settled rural area; a region with peculiar vegetation; the home of indigenous Australians; aboriginal sacred place; safe terrain, shelter for its inhabitants; the territory rich with its gifts; opposition to the city; wild and dangerous place for foreigners. It is highlighted in the article the features of realisation of the ethnoconcept BUSH in the literary text for children “Blinky Bill” by Dorothy Wall. In the semantics of the nominative units it is embodied the notions of the bush, such as the motherland, home, shelter, safe area, place of physical and mental recreation, which is generalized in the reconstructed conceptual metaphors. The linguostylistic means of figurative reinterpretation of the ethnoconcept BUSH in the literary text for children are analysed and described, among which the most frequent are personalization, simile, repetitions, epithets, synaesthetic imagery.
