ОБРАЗНО-АСОЦІАТИВНИЙ ШАР КОНЦЕПТУ КОХАННЯ (НА МАТЕРІАЛІ КІНОТЕКСТУ РОМАНТИЧНОЇ КОМЕДІЇ “SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK”)

Abstract

У статті розглянуто основні концептуальні метафоричні схеми, що формують образно-асоціативний шар концепту КОХАННЯ. Матеріалом дослідження слугувала англомовна романтична комедія“Silver linings playbook”. Семантичний потенціал концепту КОХАННЯ у проаналізованому кінофільмів вивчається через його переосмислення у термінах інших концептів. The article is devoted to the analysis of the connotational concept component of the concept of Love on the basis of the American romantic comedy “Silver linings playbook”. The analytical review of the scientific works on the problem showed that, in spite of a great number of researches devoted to the studying of concepts, the notion of concept still belongs to unclearly defined categories. According to the classification of concepts by A.M. Prykhodko, the concept of Love is categorized as an emotional and teleonomic mental unit, which represents the higher moral values. The concept of Love was widely researched on the basis of poetic and literary texts, but it is not studied in filmtexts that makes this research actual. The connotational concept component is defined as a set of conceptual tropes, which semantically diversifies the notional concept component, expresses individual author’s associations and transfers the information of connotative, associative character. In the article the set of conceptual metaphors that form the connotational concept component of the concept of Love in the analyzed American romantic comedy was found. It was found that the connotational concept component of the concept of Love in American-English romantic comedy “Silver linings playbook” is structured by fifteen concepts and that the scope of the target of the constructed conceptual metaphors has five conceptual spheres of source – “an abstract notion”, “social phenomenon”, “human condition”, “feelings and activities of person”, “phenomenon or object of inanimate object”. As a result of the associative comprehension of the conceptual metaphors the viewing of the phenomenon of Love in modern American romantic comedy was clarified.
