Стаття присвячена обґрунтуванню виокремлення в перекладознавстві понять «репродуктивний переклад» і «адаптивний переклад». Диференціація перекладацьких стратегій обумовлена ступенем прагматичного потенціалу тексту / дискурсу в перекладі, який, перш за все, залежить від частотності функціонування культурно обумовлених лексичних одиниць.
The article presents the results of interlinguistic translational analysis of homiletic type of the text of east Slavic and Atlantic cultural tradition. Multi-polar model of homiletic textbooks of both traditions opens up its cultural basis and helps the translator to make a right choice between the reproductive and adaptive strategies.
The article presents the results of interlinguistic translational analysis of homiletic type of the text of east Slavic and Atlantic cultural tradition. Multi-polar model of homiletic textbooks of both traditions opens up its cultural basis and helps the translator to make a right choice between the reproductive and adaptive strategies. The article highlights the necessity to distinguish in the theory of translation the notions of “reproductive translation” and “adaptive translation”. This differentiation of translational strategies is defined, first of all, by the degree of the pragmatic potential of a text / discourse under translation. From this perspective the most essential is frequency of functioning of the culture bearing lexical elements.
