Abstract

Актуальність дослідження обраної теми зумовлена кількома причинами. Перш за все, вивчення репресивної політики сталінського режиму щодо інтелігенції є вкрай важливим для розуміння сутності тоталітарних систем та механізмів порушення прав людини в радянські часи. 1931 рік став переломним у посиленні репресій стосовно освічених верств населення, що потребує детального аналізу й узагальнення фактів. Євгеній Тарле – видатний радянський історик, автор фундаментальних праць з історії Наполеонівських війн та Французької революції. Він народився у місті Херсоні, де його ім'ям названа вулиця. Довгий час Тарле вважався уособленням успішної кар'єри радянського науковця. Проте мало хто знав, що вчений зазнав сталінських репресій, переживши травматичний досвід, який зламав його життя. The relevance of the research of the chosen topic is due to several reasons. First of all, the study of the Stalinist regime's repressive policy towards the intelligentsia is the very place for understanding the essence of totalitarian systems and mechanisms of human rights violations in Soviet times. The year 1931 became a turning point in the strengthening of repressions against educated sections of the population, which requires a detailed analysis and generalization of the facts. Yevgeny Tarle is an outstanding Soviet historian, the author of fundamental works on the history of the Napoleonic Wars and the French Revolution. He was born in the city of Kherson, where a street is named after him. For a long time, Tarle was considered the personification of the successful career of a Soviet scientist. However, few people knew that the scientist was subjected to Stalinist repressions, having experienced a traumatic experience that broke his life.
