У статті проаналізовано найновіші дослідження проблеми масових сталінських репресій на Херсонщині стосовно вчителів та викладачів вишів. Розглянуто резонансну справу СВУ у її регіональному втіленні у м. Херсоні. Проаналізовані типові звинувачення провінційних вчителів та прояви фабрикування слідчих справ регіональними відділами НКВС. The article analyzes the latest research on the problem of mass Stalinist repressions in the Kherson region regarding teachers and university lecturers. The high-profile case of ULU in its regional embodiment in the city of Kherson is considered. Typical accusations of provincial teachers and manifestations of fabrication of investigative cases by regional departments of the PCIA were analyzed.

Метою роботи є дослідження регіональних аспектів сталінської репресивної політики на Півдні України. Робота характеризує процес становлення карально-репресивної машини у Радянському Союзі та її розквіт часів правління Й. Сталіна. Особлива увага приділена проблемам репресій проти населення Півдня України, особливостям перебігу колективізації та розкуркулення селян, Голодомору, Великого терору, репресій проти інтелігенції та освітян. Методологія дослідження. В роботі було використано методи загальнонаукові – iсторичний i логічний, методи аналiзу, синтезу та спецiально-історичні – ретроспективний, порівняльно-історичний та типологічний. Висновки. Від сталінської репресивної політики на Півдні України найбільше постраждали селяни, які становили переважну більшість населення у регіоні. Колективізація, розкуркулення та Голодомор протікали на Півдні України набагато гостріше, ніж в інших регіонах України. Крім селян, репресії торкнулися практично усіх національних меншин багатонаціонального південноукраїнського регіону. Найбільше на Півдні України постраждали представники російської, німецької, польської, литовської, болгарської, румунської національних меншин та українці. Професійний зріз жертв сталінських репресій на Півдні України свідчить про особливо жорстокі переслідування інтелігенції та освітян. The purpose of the work is to study the regional aspects of Stalin's repressive policy in the South of Ukraine. The work characterizes the process of formation of the punitive and repressive machine in the Soviet Union and its flowering during the reign of J. Stalin. Special attention is paid to the problems of repressions against the population of Southern Ukraine, the peculiarities of the course of collectivization and disenfranchisement of peasants, the Holodomor, the Great Terror, repressions against the intelligentsia and educators. Research methodology. The work used general scientific methods - historical and logical, methods of analysis, synthesis and special-historical - retrospective, comparative-historical and typological. Conclusions. The peasants, who made up the vast majority of the population in the region, suffered the most from Stalin's repressive policy in the South of Ukraine. Collectivization, disenfranchisement, and the Holodomor occurred much more acutely in the South of Ukraine than in other regions of Ukraine. In addition to the peasants, the repression affected almost all national minorities of the multinational southern Ukrainian region. Representatives of the Russian, German, Polish, Lithuanian, Bulgarian, Romanian national minorities and Ukrainians suffered the most in the South of Ukraine. The occupational profile of the victims of Stalinist repressions in the South of Ukraine testifies to particularly brutal persecution of the intelligentsia and educators.
