    У роботі на основі комплексного аналізу здійснено спробу обґрунтування ролі Католицької церви в середньовічній Європі, розкрито вплив католицької церкви на процеси політичного устрою та соціокультурного розвитку Європи, окреслено основні аспекти, такі як участь церкви у формуванні правової системи, установленні моральних норм, підтримці влади та регулюванні соціальних відносин, окреслено релігійні доктрини, що підштовхували до консолідації влади та легітимізації монархів, церковні інституцій на освіту, культуру та мистецтво середньовічної Європи. The work, based on a complex analysis, is an effective attempt to substantiate the role of the church in medieval Europe, to reveal the influence of the Catholic Church on the processes of the political system and socio-cultural development of Europe, outlines the main aspects, such as the participation of the church in the formation of the legal system, the establishment of moral norms, the support of the authorities and the regulation of social relations, outlined religious doctrines that encouraged the consolidation of power and legitimization of monarchs, church institutions on education, culture and art of medieval Europe.
