The article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of low self-esteem on a person's life. It is analyzed how low self-esteem, reflected in the inner world of a person, affects many aspects of his outer life.

    САМООЦІНКА ЯК ЧИННИК ФОРМУВАННЯ СОЦІАЛЬНО-ПСИХОЛОГІЧНИХ МАСОК ОСОБИСТОСТІ

    Робота присвячена самооцінці як чиннику формування соціально-психологічних масок особистості. Визначено: самооцінку як особистісну характеристику; соціально-психологічні маски особистості. Описано чинники впливу на самооцінку, її функції та ознаки низької, завищеної і адекватної форм. Розглянуто найпоширеніші види соціальних масок та їхні функції. Розкрито негативні сторони використання маски. Описано вплив самооцінки на певні аспекти соціально-психологічних масок особистості, але цей вплив не є універсальним. Емпірично досліджено прямий зв’язок між самооцінкою та такими компонентами соціально-психологічних масок, як «необмеження іншими» та «знання та прийняття себе». Результати дослідження підкреслили складність цих взаємозв’язків. The work is devoted to self-esteem as a factor in the formation of social and psychological masks of the individual. Defined: self-esteem as a personal characteristic; socio-psychological personality masks. The factors affecting self-esteem, its functions and signs of low, overestimated and adequate forms are described. The most common types of social masks and their functions are considered. The negative aspects of using a mask are revealed. The influence of self-esteem on certain aspects of socio-psychological personality masks has been described, but this influence is not universal. The direct relationship between self-esteem and such components of social-psychological masks as "unrestricted by others" and "knowledge and acceptance of oneself" was empirically investigated. The results of the study highlighted the complexity of these relationships.
