    Гарбологічний аналіз твердих побутових відходів міського населення залишається актуальною проблемою. Швидке зростання міст і збільшення кількості відходів створюють серйозні проблеми для довкілля та здоров’я. Аналіз відходів дозволяє виявити патерни споживання та утилізації, ідентифікувати можливості для ефективного управління. Проблема управління відходами набуває значення через її вплив на довкілля, економіку та соціальну сферу. Розвиток гарбології, науки про відходи, є ключовим для пошуку рішень. Ця робота аналізує теоретичні аспекти гарбології, практичні методи управління відходами, порівнює системи в Україні та Швейцарії. Ефективне управління відходами є вирішальним для сталого розвитку, захисту довкілля та якості життя майбутніх поколінь. Garbological analysis of solid household waste of the urban population remains an actual problem. The rapid growth of cities and the increase in the amount of waste create serious problems for the environment and health. Analysis of waste makes it possible to identify patterns of consumption and disposal, to identify opportunities for effective management. The problem of waste management is gaining importance due to its impact on the environment, economy and social sphere. The development of garbology, the science of waste, is key to finding solutions. This work analyzes theoretical aspects of garbology, practical methods of waste management, compares systems in Ukraine and Switzerland. Effective waste management is crucial for sustainable development, environmental protection and quality of life for future generations
