Здійснено визначення завдань обліку і контролю, встановлено їх особливості та «вузькі місця». Виявлено, що категорія «запаси» – це не лише об’єкт обліку, але й важливий об’єкт управління. Доведено, що одним із найдієвіших інструментів виявлення резервів підвищення ефективності використання запасів та управління ними є чітка організація їх бухгалтерського обліку. Визначено, що виробничі запаси є дуже важливим елементом діяльності будь-якого підприємства. Зазначено напрями підвищення ефективності використання та руху виробничих запасів підприємств, організації дієвого документообігу щодо їх обліку і внутрішнього контролю. Проведено аналіз та запропоновано шляхи удосконалення первинного обліку використання, оцінки та руху виробничих запасів. The tasks of accounting and control have been determined, their peculiarities and "bottlenecks" have been established. It was found that the category of "inventories" is not only an object of accounting, but also an important object of management. It is proved that one of the most effective tools for identifying reserves to improve the efficiency of inventory use and management is a clear organization of their accounting. It is determined that inventories are a very important element of any enterprise. The directions of increase of efficiency of use and movement of production stocks of the enterprises, the organization of effective document circulation concerning their account and internal control are specified. The analysis is carried out and the ways of improvement of the primary accounting of use, estimation and movement of production stocks are offered.
