    В англомовному художньому дискурсі мовні позначення невербального компонента “вираз обличчя” є емотивними знаками, в яких кодифіковано міститься інформація про емоційний стан комунікантів, а також детермінантами вираження когнітивних механізмів емоційного інтелекту. This article presents a study of the emotive aspect of designations of the nonverbal component “facial expression” in Modern English discourse. On the basis of the data obtained, it has been established that nominations of facial expressions function as emotive signs and can determine the level of emotional intelligence.
