The article addresses the issue of developing social competence in preschoolers, reveals the essence of the concept of "social competence," identifies key components, and highlights the role of educators and parents in fostering social competence in children of preschool age.

    У роботі розглядаються ключові питання, пов'язані з формуванням психологічної компетентності у дітей дошкільного віку. Зокрема, досліджуються: основні теоретичні та експериментальні підходи до розвитку психологічної компетентності, особливості психічного розвитку дітей у дошкільному віці, показники та характеристики психологічної компетентності у дошкільників, сучасний рівень розвитку психологічної компетентності у дітей дошкільного віку, засоби формування психологічної компетентності в умовах дошкільних навчальних закладів і перевірка їх ефективності. / The paper addresses key issues related to the development of psychological competence in preschool-aged children. Specifically, it examines: the main theoretical and experimental approaches to the development of psychological competence, the characteristics of mental development in preschool-aged children, the indicators and characteristics of psychological competence in preschoolers, the current level of psychological competence development in preschool-aged children, and the methods for fostering psychological competence in preschool educational institutions and the evaluation of their effectiveness.
