Причины распространения социальных заболеваний на Херсонщине в 20-30-е годы ХХ века

The article examines the complex sanitary and epidemiological situation in the Kherson region in the 20s-30s of the 20th century. The main causes and manifestations of the insanitary situation in the region are analyzed. The scale of post-war disasters is indicated, the situation of the housing and communal services and the conditions of everyday life of the urban population are characterized. The state of city communications, first of all water supply and sewerage, which had a direct impact on the level of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the city of Kherson and its district in the 20s-30s is investigated. The influence of the housing crisis on the process of "sealing" the population and its sanitary consequences is indicated. The reasons for the spread of social diseases and the effectiveness of Soviet policy in improving the sanitary and living conditions of the population and fighting diseases in the city of Kherson and its environs are characterized.

У статті досліджується досвід боротьби з алкоголізмом на Херсонщині наприкінці 20-х – у 30-х роках ХХ століття. Аналізуються основні методи боротьби з алкоголізмом як соціальним захворюванням та визначається роль у цьому процесі місцевої преси, зокрема газети «Наддніпрянська правда». В статье исследуется опыт борьбы с алкоголизмом на Херсонщине в конце 20-х – в 30—е годы ХХ века. Анализируются основные методы борьбы с алкоголизмом как социальной болезнью, и определяется роль в этом процессе местной прессы, в частности газеты «Надднепрянская правда». This paper examines the experience of struggle with alcoholism in the Kherson region in the late 20's - 30-ies. The aim of research is defining the role and capabilities of the newspaper "Naddnipryanska pravda" in the fight against alcoholism in the Kherson region in the late 20's - 30-ies. Using a broad range of periodic sources, the author identifies the basic forms and methods of struggle against alcoholism as a social disease.Analyzed activity of Kherson anti-alcohol association. Characterized productivity of the narcology dispensary and its importance in the fight against alcoholism. Shows some examples of harm from alcohol use by workers at work, at home, in public places and places of cultural recreation. Displaying effectiveness of activity of militia in the fight against alcoholism and hooliganism, which is caused by alcohol. Followed places illegal trade in alcoholic beverages in Kherson and its surroundings. The author concludes the important role of the local newspaper "Naddnipryanska pravda" in the fight against alcoholism in the Kherson region in the late 20's - 30-ies.
САНІТАРНИЙ СТАН МІСТА ХЕРСОНА У 20-Х РОКАХ ХХ СТОЛІТТЯ

У статті досліджується складна санітарно-епідеміологічна ситуація у місті Херсоні у 20-х роках ХХ століття. Охарактеризовано причини спалаху ряду епідемій інфекційних хвороб та результативність радянської політики у галузі покращення санітарно-побутових умов. В статье исследуется сложная санитарно-эпидемиологическая ситуация в городе Херсоне в 20-х годах ХХ века. Анализируются основные причины и проявления антисанитарного положения населенного пункта, учитывая особенности южноукраинского региона. Указываются масштабы послевоенных разрушений, охарактеризованы положение жилищно-коммунальной сферы и условия быта городского населения. Исследуется состояние городских коммуникаций, прежде всего водоснабжения и канализации, которые имели непосредственное влияние на уровень санитарно-эпидемиологического благосостояния города Херсона в 20-е годы. Указано влияние жилищного кризиса на процесс «уплотнения» населения и его санитарные последствия. Охарактеризованы причины вспышки ряда эпидемий инфекционных болезней и результативность советской политики в области улучшения санитарно-бытовых условий населения и борьбы с крупнейшими эпидемиями в городе Херсоне и его окрестностях. In article the difficult sanitary and epidemiologic situation in the city of Kherson in the twenties of the XX century is investigated. The main reasons and manifestations of insanitary position of the city are analyzed, considering features of the South Ukrainian region. Scales of post-war destructions are specified, position of the housing-and-municipal sphere and a condition of life of urban population are characterized. The condition of city communications, first of all water supply and the sewerage which had direct influence on the level of sanitary and epidemiologic welfare of the city of Kherson in the 20th years is investigated. Influence of a housing crisis on process of "consolidation" of the population and its sanitary consequences is specified. The reasons of flash of a number of epidemics of infectious diseases and productivity of the Soviet policy in the field of improvement of sanitary living conditions of the population and fight against the largest epidemics in the city of Kherson and its vicinities are characterized.
