    Стаття присвячена дослідженню походження й розвитку терміну «ветеран» в історико-соціальному контексті, зважаючи на його тривалу еволюцію в світовій та національній історії. Підкреслено, що Україна має досвід дослідження своїх ветеранів ще задовго до її незалежності. Наголошено на видатній ролі ветеранів Української Повстанської Армії (УПА) у визвольних змаганнях нашої держави. The article is devoted to the study of the origin and development of the term «veteran» in the historical and social context, taking into account its long evolution in world and national history. It is emphasized that Ukraine has the experience of researching its veterans long before its independence. The outstanding role of veterans of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) in the liberation contests of our country is emphasized.

    СОЦІАЛЬНА РОБОТА З ВЕТЕРАНАМИ ЗСУ : РЕГІОНАЛЬНИЙ АСПЕКТ

    Робота присвячена соціальній роботі з ветеранами ЗСУ. Проаналізувано поняття «ветеран», «учасник бойових дій», «ветеран ЗСУ», як специфічна соціальна категорія. Досліджено нормативно-правові засади соціальної роботи з ветеранами ЗСУ. Досліджено соціальну роботу з ветеранами воєн/збройних конфліктів – зарубіжний досвід і вітчизняні реалії. Визначені сучасні проблеми, перешкоди і виклики в контексті соціальної роботи з ветеранами ЗСУ на регіональному рівні. Розроблено рекомендації щодо оптимізації соціальної роботи з ветеранами ЗСУ в регіонах. The work is devoted to social work with veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The concept of "veteran", "participant in hostilities", "veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine" as a specific social category is analyzed. The normative and legal principles of social work with veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were studied. Social work with veterans of wars/armed conflicts was studied - foreign experience and domestic realities. Modern problems, obstacles and challenges in the context of social work with veterans of the Armed Forces at the regional level are identified. Recommendations on optimization of social work with veterans of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the regions have been developed.
