The qualification work investigates the psychological content parameters of adaptive regulation of personality stress in conditions of chronic stress on the example of residents of Kherson. The evolution of scientific approaches to understanding stress and adaptation is analysed, and their key structural components are identified. The interrelationships between cognitive assessments, coping strategies, personal resources, value-sense orientations and the level of psychological well-being are empirically established. The role of resilience and flexibility of coping in improving the effectiveness of adaptation is revealed. Practical recommendations for strengthening the stress resistance of the population in the conditions of long-term crisis situations are developed.
