    У кваліфікаційній роботі досліджено соціально-географічну історію Каховського гідровузла та можливості використання її матеріалів у шкільній географічній освіті. Проаналізовано історію створення й розвитку гідровузла, його соціально-економічне та екологічне значення. Досліджено особливості висвітлення теми у шкільних програмах і підручниках. Розроблено методичні підходи, практичні завдання та навчальні матеріали для використання на уроках географії. Обґрунтовано освітній потенціал теми у формуванні географічної компетентності учнів. The qualification paper investigates the socio-geographical history of the Kakhovka hydroelectric complex and the possibilities of using its materials in school geographical education. The history of its creation and development, socio-economic and environmental significance are analyzed. The peculiarities of presenting this topic in school curricula and textbooks are studied. Methodological approaches, practical tasks and educational materials for geography lessons have been developed. The educational potential of the topic in forming students' geographical competence is substantiated.
