    Поряд з метричними просторами активно вивчаються спеціальні класи таких просторів та модифікації, які мають застосування в різноманітних галузях сучасної математики. Одним із таких класів є клас ультраметричних просторів, особливий випадок метричних просторів, в яких метрика задовольняє посиленій нерівності трикутника. В роботі розглянуто поняття ультраметричного простору та основні властивості та приклади таких просторів. / Along with metric spaces, special classes of such spaces and modifications that are used in various fields of modern mathematics are being actively studied. One such class is the class of ultrametric spaces, a special case of metric spaces in which the metric satisfies the increased inequality of the triangle. The concept of ultrametric space and the main properties and examples of such spaces are considered in the work.
