    Робота присвячена темі розвитку соціології права як галузевої соціологічної теорії та створенню порівняльної таблиці поглядів класиків соціології на соціологію права. Досліджено витоки соціології права як галузевої теорії середнього рівня. Проаналізовано термінологічний науковий апарат соціології права. Визначено функції соціології права. Створено класифікацію основних етапів розвитку соціології права. Розглянуто теоретичні напрацювання класиків соціології у становленні соціології права. З’ясовано вплив досліджень американських соціологів в аналізованому напрямі. The work is devoted to the development of the sociology of law as a branch of sociological theory and the creation of a comparative table of views of the classics of sociology on the sociology of law. The origins of the sociology of law as a medium-level sectoral theory have been studied. The terminological scientific apparatus of the sociology of law is analyzed. The functions of the sociology of law are defined. A classification of the main stages of the development of the sociology of law has been created. The theoretical works of the classics of sociology in the formation of the sociology of law are considered. The impact of the research of American sociologists in the analyzed direction is clarified.
