    Статтю присвячено вивченню символічної природи французького письма, дослідженню семіотичного аспекту французького алфавіту. На прикладі графемного аналізу літерних знаків, що відображають на письмі голосні звуки, автор встановлює основні піктографічні особливості алфавітної писемності. The article deals with the study of symbolic nature of alphabetic written French language, the investigation of semiotic aspects of the French alphabet. In the example of graphemic analysis literal characters than reflect in writing vowel sounds, the author sets out the basic features of alphabetic pictographic writing.
