    DESIGNING CLOUD-ORIENTED UNIVERSITY ENVIRONMENT IN TEACHER TRAINING OF FUTURE PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS

    One of the most promising means of creating and updating the database of educational and methodological materials are assumed to be cloud technologies (CT). The prospects of cloud technologies have made it possible to assume that, unlike traditional, educational and methodological support developed in the context of cloud technologies, it is open and dynamic, elementarily interchangeable and responsive to a wide range of teachers with different levels of IT competence. Theoretical and methodical principles of pedagogical training of teachers in the conditions of informational and educational environment of a HEI are substantiated: availability of interrelated IT tools system, software tools of cloud services intended to provide openness and accessibility of the selection and modification of teaching aids, organization of interactive training; diagnostic and control of the training at all stages with the aim of possible adjustment of it (application of a person-oriented approach), feedback; multilevel and differentiated approaches in training with the possibility of continuous on-line and offline assistance; flexibility of training organization. The research aims substantiate theoretical and methodical principles of professional training of physical education teachers under the conditions the university’s informational and educational environment. Methods: retrospection, comparison, content analysis; synthesis, generalization, theoretical design; psychopedagogicalobservation, conversations, testing, questionnaires, interviews; pedagogicalexperimentwithqualitativeandquantitativeanalysisofresults, theirstatisticalprocessing (A chi-squaredtestor χ2 test, Microsoft Excel, 2  dispersion, Student’s t-test, thePearsoncorrelationcoefficient). Participants: 642 students were divided into three groups: two control groups (CG1 – 210, CG2 – 215) and one experimental group (EG – 217). Results: the values of the observed statistics 2 13  and 2 23  are respectively 8.45 and 10.08,gives grounds for rejecting the null hypothesis and acceptance of an alternative hypothesis.Conclusions: The experimental checkup indicates the effectiveness of the developed model, which was used by students of experimental groups since it made it possible to improve the quality of students’ pedagogical knowledge, form independent work skills and increase the level of professional motivation.

    DIFFERENTIATED APPROACH TO PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF ADOLESCENTS WITH DIFFERENT SPEED OF BIOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

    Aim: to justify and experimentally verify themethodology of differentiated approach to developing motor skills of seventh-graders depending on paces of their biological development. Material: 304 schoolchildren (148 boys and 156 girls), seventh-graders from the general education school No 20 in Lutsk, participated in the formative pedagogical experiment. The control group consisted of 99 boys and 105 girls and the experimental group – 49 boys and 51 girls, who were classified into the main medical group for health reasons and were not involved in sports sections. Results: It was found that schoolchildren with different levels of biological development within one age-sex group differ significantly in terms of the cardiorespiratory system capacity, physical performance and physical fitness. Therefore, the authors designed the methodology for allocating educational time to develop motor skills of seventh-graders during physical education lessons depending on paces of their biological development under the conditions of three physical education lessons per week. Conclusions: this methodology of differentiated approach to allocating educational time to develop motor skills of seventh-graders is an effective means for differentiated physical education of adolescents, which is reflected in the increase in the level of physical fitness and performance in seventh-graders during the pedagogical experiment.

    THE WEBQUEST AS A MEANS OF IMPROVING THE EFFICIENCY OF STUDENTS’ FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING OF UKRAINIAN TECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION (BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY)

    The possibilities of WebQuest technology to improve the efficiency of students’ foreign language training of Ukrainian technical institutions of higher education at the beginning of the XXI century have been revealed. It has been noted that the opportunity with the help of the WebQuest to involve all kinds of authentic texts (from the text to video material) with professionally-oriented issues helps to increase students’ motivation to study and reach educational goals, provides the possibility to activate their cognitive activities and strengthen their desire for selfeducation. The advantages of this technology for improving students’ foreign language training have been represented. The results of the questionnaire have been provided, which confirm that WebQuest technology gives an opportunity to expand students’ vocabulary on a specific topic, to interest and motivate them to study a particular problem, to intensify the process of studying professional-oriented terminology, to develop students’ foreignlanguage, lexical and socio-cultural competence.

    У статті проаналізовані завдання та зміст факультативного курсу “Домоводство”, який викладали в педагогічних інститутах УРСР в кінці 50-х – на початку 60-х років ХХ століття. Доведено, що вивчення цього курсу позитивно впливало на фахову підготовку майбутніх учителів, а отже, й на соціалізацію їхніх учнів.

    ГІПАТІЯ: ЖІНКА І ВЧЕНИЙ

    У статті наголошено, що в різних країнах у різні часи роль і місце жінки значно відрізнялися. Найчастіше жінки були домогосподарками, однак зустрічалися й такі постаті, яких не приваблювала роль домогосподарки та підпорядкованість чоловікові. Такою була Гіпатія (370-415 рр.) – жінка-вчений, ім’я якої зазвичай пов’язують із філософією, математикою, астрономією. Проаналізовано життєвий шлях та наукові здобутки Гіпатії. Зроблено висновок, що це видатна жінка не лише свого часу, а й усього періоду існування людства. У ті далекі часи вона спромоглася нарівні з чоловіками отримати освіту та досягти неабиякого успіху на науково-педагогічній ниві. В статье акцентируется, что в разных странах в разные времена роль и место женщины существенно отличались. Чаще всего женщины были домохазяйками, однако встречались и такие личности, которых не привлекала роль домохазяйки и подчиненность мужчине. Такой была Гипатия (370-415 гг.) – женщина-ученый, имя которой обычно связывают с философией, математикой, астрономией. Проанализированы жизненный путь и научные достижения Гипатии. Сделан вывод, что это выдающаяся женщина не только своего времени, а и всего периода существования человечества. В те далекие времена она смогла наравне с мужчинами получить образование и достичь незаурядного успеха на научно-педагогическом поприще. The article emphasized that the role and place of women differed significantly in different countries at different times. Most women were housewives, but there were also such personalities whom the role of housewife and subordination to men did not attract. Such woman was Hypatia (370-415) – a female scientist, whose name is usually associated with philosophy, mathematics, astronomy. Hypatia’s life and scientific achievements were analyzed. It is pointed out that, following her father, she obtained diversified education, including studying abroad, and has dedicated her life to teaching activities and science. In particular, she taught at a large Egypt research center – Musaeum such subjects as mathematics, mechanics, astronomy and philosophy. It is concluded that Hypatia – is an outstanding woman of not only her time, but also of entire period of human existence. In those days she managed as well as men to get an education and achieve outstanding success in scientific and educational field. Now the name of Hypatia became a symbol of intelligent, educated, freedom-loving woman who has her own position and bravely defends it at any circumstances. This female scientist is deservedly glorified in many works of art (paintings, movies, etc.).

    ЖИТТЄВИЙ ШЛЯХ ТА НАУКОВІ ЗДОБУТКИ ПРОФЕСОРА В. К. СИДОРЕНКА

    У статті описано життєвий шлях В. Сидоренка та схарактеризовано його внесок у розвиток вітчизняної педагогічної науки. Виявлено, що наукові пошуки професора спрямовувалися на творче розв’язання таких проблем: оновлення змісту трудового навчання школярів; розробка нормативних документів з підготовки вчителя трудового навчання; теорія та методика навчання школярів і студентів графічних дисциплін; науково-технічна творчість студентської молоді та методологія науково-педагогічних досліджень; інтеграційні процеси та закономірності в освіті; інформаційні технології у навчанні та ін. В статье описан жизненный путь В. Сидоренко и охарактеризован его вклад в развитие отечественной педагогической науки. Выявлено, что научные поиски профессора были направлены на творческое решение таких проблем: обновление содержания трудового обучения школьников; разработка нормативных документов по подготовке учителя трудового обучения; теория и методика обучения школьников и студентов графическим дисциплинам; научно-техническое творчество студенческой молодежи и методология научно-педагогических исследований; интеграционные процессы и закономерности в образовании; информационные технологии в обучении и др.
