У періодичних виданнях початку ХIХ століття зрідка з’являються матеріали, оформлені у формі питань і відповідей. Припускаємо, що саме в періодиці того часу закладаються основні риси, що характеризують інтерв’ю: певні типи питань, формули ввічливості, риторичні і стилістичні фігури тощо. XX століття трансформувало діалог в один із найважливіших способів організації словесного тексту в журналістській творчості. В Україні за часів тоталітарної журналістики чимало журналістів йшли на інтерв’ю головним чином за цифрою і результатом соцзмагань. У сучасних українських та світових засобах масової інформації жанр інтерв’ю є одним із провідних. In periodicals of the early nineteenth century, rarely appeared materials in the form of questions and answers. We assume that it is in the periodicals of that time that the main features that characterize the interview are laid down: certain types of questions, formulas of politeness, rhetorical and stylistic figures, and so on. The twentieth century has transformed dialogue into one of the most important ways of organizing a verbal text in journalism. In Ukraine during the time of totalitarian journalism, many journalists were interviewed mainly on the number and outcome of social competitions. In the modern Ukrainian and world mass media, the genre of interviews is one of the leading ones.
