    Кваліфікаційна робота присвячена з’ясуванню теоретичних основ становлення та розвитку системи кримінальних покарань в Україні, а також виявленню недоліків такої системи та формулюванню шляхів їх вирішення з метою подальшої перспективи розвитку. В ході роботи було розглянуто історико-правові аспекти становлення та розвитку системи кримінальних покарань в Україні; проаналізовано особливості застосування окремих видів основних та додаткових покарань як складових сучасної системи кримінальних покарань в Україні, враховуючи проблемні питання; висвітлено сучасний етап розвитку системи кримінальних покарань в Україні з врахуванням зарубіжного досвіду та подальших перспектив удосконалення The qualifying work is devoted to elucidation of theoretical bases of formation and development of system of criminal punishments in Ukraine, and also revealing of lacks of such system and formulation of ways of their decision for the purpose of the further prospect of development. In the course of work was considered historical and legal aspects of the formation and development of the criminal punishment system in Ukraine; analyzed features of application of certain types of basic and additional punishments as components of the modern system of criminal punishments in Ukraine, taking into account problematic issues; highlighted current stage of development of the criminal punishment system in Ukraine taking into account foreign experience and further prospects for improvement.
