    У роботі розглянуто сутність поняття «конкуренті переваги» та сконструйована авторська дефініція на основі аналізу та узагальнення визначень різних науковців, досліджені методичні засади оцінки конкурентних переваг регіонів. Охарактеризовано потенціал виробництва харчових продуктів у Херсонській області. Проаналізовано зовнішньоекономічну діяльність області та запропоновані підходи до оцінки її конкурентних переваг. The essence of the concept of "competitive advantages" is considered in the work and the author's definition is constructed on the basis of the analysis and generalization of definitions of various scientists, methodical bases of an estimation of competitive advantages of regions are investigated. The potential of food production in Kherson region is characterized. The foreign economic activity of the region is analyzed and approaches to the assessment of its competitive advantages are offered
