    У роботі зроблена спроба дослідити особливості перекладу англійськомовних фразеологізмів українською на матеріалі статей відомих періодичних видань: “The Guardian”, “The Week”, “BBC”, “People”, “The Telegraph”, “Vogue” та “Detroit Free Press”. Проаналізовано особливості публіцистичного дискурсу та роль використаних у англомовних часописах фразеологічних одиниць, з'ясовано їх значення та виявлено виконувані ними функції. Велику увагу приділено практичному застосуванню способів і методів перекладу з урахуванням прагматичних особливостей фразеологізмів. The subject of study is the peculiarities of translation of English phraseologisms of media discourse into Ukrainian. An attempt is made to investigate the aspects of the translation of phraseological units in the English-language press, based on the well-known articles: “The Guardian”, “The Week”, “BBC”, “People”, “The Telegraph”, “Vogue”, “Detroit Free Press”. In the study, the peculiarities of journalistic discourse and the role of phraseological units used in English-language press are analyzed, their meaning is clarified and their functions are revealed. Much attention is paid to the practical application of methods and techniques of translation, taking into account the pragmatic character of phraseological units.
