    У роботі уточнено зміст поняття «розумові здібності» старших дошкільників; узагальнено особливості розвитку розумових здібностей дітей старшого дошкільного віку; визначено потенціал створення казок та фантастичних історій для розвитку розумових здібностей; діагностовано рівень розумових здібностей дітей старшого дошкільного віку; обґрунтовано педагогічні прийоми розвитку розумових здібностей дітей старшого дошкільного віку. The paper clarifies the content of the concept of «mental abilities» of older preschoolers; summarizes the features of the development of mental abilities of older preschool children; defines the potential for creating fairy tales and fantastic stories for the development of mental abilities; diagnoses the level of mental abilities of older preschool children; substantiates pedagogical methods for the development of mental abilities of older preschool children.
