У статті досліджується художня інтерпретація міфологем води, риби, дому, звернено увагу на специфіці притчевості казки “Говорюща риба” Емми Андієвської. Вказується на важливій ролі алюзії на реальний історичний простір, пов`язаний із долею української діаспори, що виводить казку за межі суто повчального твору. Розкривається мотив духовної самотності творчої особистості, яка опинилася в чужому культурному середовищі.
The study examines the literary interpretation of the mythologems of water, fish and home. It pays attention to the specifics of parable characteristics of “The Speaking Fish” by Emma Andiievska. The paper stresses the importance of the allusion to the actual historic space, related to the fate of the Ukrainian diaspora, placing the fairy-tale beyond the limits of a merely didactic literary work. It reveals the motif of spiritual loneliness of a person appearing in an alien cultural environment.
