    Данная статья посвящена изучению процесса урбанизации с точки зрения его воздействия на человека, его образ и условия жизни. Процесс урбанизации рассматривается именно с позиции трансформации условий и образа жизни населения. В публикации раскрыты понятия с акцентом на достаточно необычном для географа ракурсе, в частности отражение урбанизации в социально-географическом измерении. Описана «истинность» урбанизации в Украине, опираясь на общепринятые стандарты. This article is devoted to studying the process of urbanization in terms of its impact on the people, their lifestyle and living conditions. The process of urbanization is seen from a position of transformation living conditions and lifestyle. In the publication of the notions focus on rather unusual for geographer perspective, including urbanization reflected in socio-geographical terms. Describe the true urbanization in Ukraine, based on common standards.

    Статья посвящена изучению опыта географических и общественных исследований процесса урбанизации. Выделены наиболее популярные научные концепции ХХ в. Рассмотрены основные содержательные аспекты урбанизации как социально-географического процесса. Указано на важность современных исследований в контексте антропоцентрического понимания феномена урбанизации. The article is devoted to study the experience of geographical and social researches of the urbanization process. The most popular scientific concepts of the twentieth century were highlighted. The main substantive aspects of urbanization as a socio-geographical process are considered. It was indicated on the importance of current research in the context of the anthropocentric understanding of the phenomenon of urbanization.
