Г.У статті розкрито сутність морального виховання молодших школярів, висвітлено різні підходи сучасних науковців до його визначення. Проаналізовано особливості процесу морального виховання дітей молодшого шкільного віку. Встановлено, що під час оцінки результатів морального виховання важливо виявити наявність якостей, навичок, умінь і звичок моральної поведінки. At the present stage of our society the problem of moral education of the personality, which is the end result of moral education, is becoming more acute. This fact actualizes the need of transition to the principles of humanistic education and the improvement of content, forms and methods of moral education of younger schoolchildren in the educational process. The article discloses the essence of moral education of younger students and covers various approaches of modern scholars to its definition. The article analyses the peculiarities of the process of moral education of children of primary school age. Primary school age has been defined as sensitive to the moral development of an individual, their mental and cognitive processes, emotional and motivational value domains. It has been determined that the end result of moral education is good manners, that is an individual's ability to consciously reproduce their own behavior on the basis of generally accepted moral values, norms and rules, adequately assess their own behavior and the behavior of others. It has been established that it is important to identify the presence of qualities, skills, abilities and habits of moral conduct during the evaluation of the results of moral education. It has been proved that educational process plays an essential role in the moral education of younger students, when a student acquires the knowledge of moral norms and rules, studies moral values and feelings, which is a background factor for the formation of the motives of moral conduct. Modern socio-pedagogical conditions of the effectiveness of moral education of younger students in elementary school as well as the improvement of forms and methods of pedagogical activity require further development.
