The paper deals with the international treaties that are generally agreed today to be universal legal framework in the field of equality between men and women (International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Declaration on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women, The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women). The subsequent ratification of these treaties by the post-Soviet countries promoted to embody them in domestic law for the implementation of gender equality, so it was a legal basis for the development of gender education in the post-Soviet space.
