Автор розглядає стилістичні фігури, що формують конотацію у досліджуваних творах, з’ясовує їх семантико-стилістичні функції. The article analyzes the connotative means of speech, found in the poetry of N. Gorishnoy. The author considers stylistic figures that form a connotation in the studied works, finds out their semantic-stylistic functions.

    У статті розглянуто синтаксичні особливості художнього англомовного тексту періоду вікторіанства. Особливу увагу в дослідженні приділено виражальним засобам (повтор, перелік, синтаксична тавтологія, полісиндетон, емфатична конструкція to do та вставні конструкції) та стилістичним прийомам синтаксичного рівня (паралелізм, анафора, риторичне питання, парцеляція), характерним для роману Е. Гаскелл «Північ і Південь». В статье рассмотрены синтаксические особенности художественного англоязычного текста периода викторианства. Особое внимание в исследовании уделено выразительным средствам (повтор, перечень, синтаксическая тавтология, полисиндетон, эмфатическая конструкция to do и вставные конструкции) и стилистическим приемам синтаксического уровня (параллелизм, анафора, риторический вопрос, парцелляция), характерным для романа Э. Гаскелл «Север и Юг». The article deals with the syntactic peculiarities English literary Victorian text. The research focuses on the expressive means (repetition, enumeration, syntactic tautology, polysyndeton, emphatic consruction to do and parenthesis) and stylistic devices on the syntactic level (parallelism, anaphora, rhetorical question, parcellation), characteristic of E. Gaskell’s novel “North and South”.

    ІНТЕРПРЕТАЦІЯ ПОВТОРІВ В РОМАНІ ГЕРТИ МЮЛЛЕР „ГОЙДАЛКА ДИХАННЯ“

    У статті досліджено основні функції повторів у контексті їх прагматичної спрямованості на основі роману Герти Мюллер «Гойдалка дихання». В ході проведеного стилістичного аналізу твору було розглянуто повтори в якості маркерів зв’язності та цільності роману, створення ритму художнього твору та підсилення прихованих смислів підтексту. В статье исследованы основные функции повторов в контексте их прагматической направленности на основе романа Герты Мюллер «Качели дыхания». В ходе проведенного стилистического анализа произведения были рассмотрены повторы в качестве маркеров связности и цельности романа, создания ритма художественного произведения и усиления скрытых смыслов подтекста. This article deals with the attempt to give an interpretation of Herta Müller’s novel «The Hunger Engel» considering the importance of repeated elements of the work. Much attention is given to the researching of the basic repetition functions in the context of the pragmatic orientation. In the course of stylistic analysis of the novel article gives a detailed analysis of repetitions as markers of coherence and integrity of the novel, as a strengthening of the hidden meanings, as a rhythm creation of the artistic work. The book «The Hunger Engel» by Herta Müller is perceived by a reader as a single plexus, both in terms of cohesion and coherence due to this stylistic device. Perforating metaphors “sew together” the text. Repeating on different stages of the work, they come up with an incremental value and a strong pragmatic emphasis. Rhythm – the most important phenomenon of semantic sphere of the language – it expresses fuller and richer the inner state of a person. Based on the artistic ordering of syntactic groups, on the repetition element and syntactic parallelism, novel’s rhythmization creates the effect of a certain kind of swinging, balancing between inhalation and exhalation, life and death, which are metaphorically stated in the title of the work. Exemplified fragments of the text demonstrate a high degree of the influence of the repetition on non-verbal intellect of the reader, his lyrical mood.
