The article is devoted to German phraseologisms with national-labeled component which is the proper name. The author analyzes structural and semantic peculiarities of phraseological units with anthroponimical component.

The article determined the performance of different groups of apelyatyve lexic of plental origin in the formation of anthroponyms on synchronic and diachronic cuts, which deepens the understanding of cultural and national ties of Ukrainian nation.

The article discusses onomastic codes in modern English dramatic works. It offers possible solutions to translating anthroponyms based on functions they perform in the text.
