Докія Гуменна – співзасновниця Організації українських письменників «Слово»

Abstract

Стаття присвячена діяльності Докії Гуменної в Організації українських письменників «Слово». Особлива увага приділяється підготовчому періоду заснування літературної спілки, а також проблемам організаційного оформлення та основним з’їздам членів «Слова». Автор робить спробу визначити роль Докії Гуменної в роботі ОУП «Слова» та літературного процесу української діаспори у США. У статті розкрито умови роботи організації, конфлікти серед її членів. Статья посвящена деятельности Евдокии Гуменной в Организации украинских писателей Слово». Особое внимание уделяется периоду основания литературного объединения, проблемам организационного оформления и основным съездам членов «Слова». Автор делает попытку определить роль Евдокии Гуменной в работе ОУП «Слова» и в литературном процессе украинской диаспоры в США. В статье раскрыто условия работы организации, конфликты среди ее членов. The article is dedicated to the work of Dokiya Humenna in the Ukrainian Writer`s Association «Slowo». The author gives a general description of the living conditions and creative work of Ukrainians in the United States. Particular attention is paid to the preparatory phase and the period of official registration of the literary community. At this stage, Dokiya Humenna acted as an organizer and an active member of the literary union. It was she who initiated the creation of a single Ukrainian association of writers, not only in the United States, but throughout the Americas, Europe and Australia, was the main participant in the first informal meetings and responsible for the organization's finances. The author makes an attempt to determine the role of Dokiya Humenna in the work of «Slowo», her views on the course and results of the work of its congresses and meetings. Humenna participated in the congresses of the «Slowo», published her artwork in the collection «Slowo». The author reveals some of the causes and the course of conflicts in the UWA «Slowo», as well as the point of view of Dokiya Humenna on the evolution of the relationship between participants in the literary process of the Ukrainian diaspora in the United States.
