This article explores the concept of unnatural narration in Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel “Klara and the Sun” by analyzing its narrative structures, cognitive strategies, and ontological features. The study draws on the theoretical framework of unnatural narratology and cognitive literary studies to examine how the novel constructs an artificial intelligence narrator, challenges mimetic conventions, and invites the reader to re-evaluate the boundaries of narrative empathy. Special attention is paid to the representation of artificial intelligence, the limits of narrative voice, and the effect of nonhuman perspective on reader response. The paper argues that Ishiguro’s novel exemplifies key aspects of unnatural narrative through its use of non-mimetic storyworld with unreliable yet emotionally resonant artificial narrator
