Abstract
У статті досліджено функціональний аспект словотвірних одиниць німецької мови у медійних текстах. Метою дослідження є комплексний опис структури, значення та функціонального потенціалу композитів у текстах німецьких газет Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). З’ясовано, що, реалізуючи функції номінації, заміщення, компресії, зв’язності, тематичної організації та стилістичного увиразнення, складні слова є замінниками громіздких виразів, сприяючи лаконізму, точності й виразності німецькомовного медіадискурсу.
The article examines the functional aspect of word-formation units in the German language within media texts.The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive description of the structure, meaning, and functional potential of compounds in the texts of German newspapers Die Zeit, Der Spiegel, Süddeutsche Zeitung, and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). The study reveals that, by performing the functions of nomination, substitution, compression, cohesion, thematic organization, and stylistic enhancement, compound words serve as substitutes for cumbersome expressions, contributing to the conciseness, precision, and expressiveness of German-language media discourse.
