НЕОЛОГІЗАЦІЯ ЛЕКСИЧНОГО СКЛАДУ АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ НОВІТНЬОГО ЧАСУ

Abstract

Статтю присвячено метаморфозам, які фіксуються в лексичній системі англійської мови в останні роки, а саме процесам неологізації та проблемам, пов’язаним із появою новотворів в англійській мові на новітньому етапі її розвитку. Мова як будь-який живий організм безупинно еволюціонує та збагачується різними мовними засобами. Лексична система мови є найбільш рухомою і гнучкою. Словниковий склад змінюється динамічно й постійно разом із розвитком мовного колективу, відображаючи сучасні тенденції та зміни у суспільстві. Сьогодні англійська мова зазнає різноманітних змін на всіх мовних рівнях, зокрема лексичному. На рівні лексики трансформації відчуваються найбільш інтенсивно, оскільки лексична система віддзеркалює актуальні суспільні тенденції та модифікації мовного оточення, збагачується новими лексичними одиницями. Проблеми неології викликають велику зацікавленість із боку сучасних мовознавців. Аналізуються номінативні процеси та лексичні зміни, що відбуваються на сучасному етапі, досліджуються механізми неологізації вокабуляру, характеризуються основні шляхи поповнення новотворами лексичного складу англійської мови, вивчаються особливості процесів утворення нових слів, досліджується структурна, семантична та функціональна специфіка неологізмів. Аналіз нових лексичних одиниць і мовних процесів, пов’язаних із їх появою та функціонуванням, є актуальним питанням у зв’язку з орієнтацією сучасної лінгвістики на дослідження процесів розвитку мови. Детальне вивчення неологізмів сприяє більш чіткому розумінню та сприйняттю динамічних процесів неологізації, що фіксуються останнім часом на рівні лексики. Цей процес свідчить про тісний зв’язок проблемної тематики з реаліями сьогодення та нагальними потребами сучасного суспільства. Об’єктом розвідки виступають процеси неологізації лексичного складу англійської мови. Матеріалом дослідження обрано неологізми, які з’явилися в англійській мові за період останніх років ХХІ ст. Розглянуто теоретичні підходи до вивчення новотворів, визначено поняття «неологізм», проаналізовано семантичну специфіку та тематику англійськомовних новоутворень. The article focuses on the metamorphoses that have been recorded in the lexical system of the English language in recent years, namely the processes of neologization and problems associated with the emergence of innovations in the English language at the latest stage of its development. Language, like any living organism, is constantly evolving and enriched by various linguistic means. The lexical system of language is the most mobile and flexible. Vocabulary changes dynamically and constantly with the development of the language society, reflecting current trends and changes in it. Today, the English language is undergoing various changes at all language levels, including lexical. At the level of vocabulary, transformations are felt most intensively, as the lexical system is constantly changing with the development of the language society, reflects current social trends and modifications of the language environment, enriched with new lexical items. The problems of neology are of great interest to modern linguists. Nominative processes and lexical changes occurring at the present stage are analyzed, the mechanisms of vocabulary neologization are studied, the main ways of replenishment of lexical structure of English are characterized, peculiarities of new word formation processes are distinguished, structural, semantic and functional specifics of neologisms are studied. The analysis of new lexical units and language processes related to their appearance and functioning is a topical issue in connection with the orientation of modern linguistics on the study of language development processes. A detailed study of neologisms contributes to a clearer understanding and perception of the dynamic processes of neologization, which have recently been fixed at the level of vocabulary. This process testifies to the close connection of the problem with the realities of today and the urgent needs of modern society. The object of intelligence are the processes of neologization of the lexical structure of the English language. The material of the study is selected neologisms that appeared in English during the last years of the 21st century. Theoretical approaches to the study of new words are considered, the concept of “neologism” is defined, the semantic specificity and thematics of English-language innovations are analyzed.
