Abstract
Мета. Дослідження спрямовано на виявлення, узагальнення й наукове осмислення невідомих або маловідомих фактів біографії та професійної діяльності Марії Пентилюк, з’ясування їхньої ролі у фор- муванні її як педагогині й науковиці, а також переосмислення на цій основі її внеску в розвиток україн- ської лінгводидактики. Методи. Дослідження ґрунтується на поєднанні біографічного, історико-педа- гогічного та джерелознавчого підходів. Емпіричну основу становлять архівні матеріали Херсонського державного університету (особова справа, матеріали кафедральних та університетського архівів), що дали змогу уточнити хронологію професійної діяльності та конкретизувати участь дослідниці в освіт- ніх, наукових і громадських процесах; усні джерела (інтерв’ю з Марією Пентилюк та її сучасниками) опрацьовано як наративні свідчення з подальшою верифікацією, а також опубліковані джерела про неї, використані для контекстуалізації. Аналітичний етап передбачав тематичне групування виявле- них фактів за основними напрямами діяльності. Результати. У процесі дослідження встановлено нові факти біографії Марії Пентилюк, що розкривають ранній етап її професійного становлення в умовах радянського періоду, а також висвітлюють її життєвий і науковий шлях у контексті сучасних воєнних викликів. До наукового обігу введено нові архівні джерела, зокрема особову справу дослідниці, а також інтерв’ю, записані після 24 лютого 2022 р. Здійснено реконструкцію внутрішньої логіки професійного розвитку науковиці в єдності біографічного досвіду, педагогічної практики, наукового пошуку й гро- мадської діяльності. Висновки. Марія Пентилюк є ключовою постаттю становлення сучасної україн- ської лінгводидактики, а її професійний шлях відображає еволюцію національної мовної освіти другої половини ХХ – початку ХХІ ст. Виявлені маловідомі факти істотно доповнюють усталений науковий образ дослідниці та засвідчують визначальну роль, яку відіграли окремі біографічні обставини у фор- муванні її наукової концепції. Результати дослідження актуалізують значення педагогічної біографіки як перспективного напряму розвитку педагогічної науки.
Purpose. The study aims to identify, generalize, and provide a scholarly interpretation of unknown or little-known facts from the biography and professional activity of Mariia Pentyliuk, to clarify their role in her development as an educator and scholar and, on this basis, to reconsider her contribution to the development of Ukrainian linguodidactics. Methods. The study is based on a combination of biographical, historical- pedagogical, and source studies approaches. The empirical basis includes archival materials from Kherson State University (personnel file, official correspondence, and materials from departmental and university archives), which made it possible to clarify the chronology of her professional activity and specify her involvement in educational and scholarly processes; oral sources (interviews with Mariia Pentyliuk and her contemporaries), treated as narrative testimonies with subsequent verification; as well as the researcher’s published works and sources about her, used for contextualization. The analytical stage involved the thematic grouping of the identified facts by main areas of activity. Results. The study establishes new biographical facts about Mariia Pentyliuk, revealing the early stage of her professional formation during the Soviet period and highlighting her life and academic path in the context of contemporary wartime challenges. New archival sources have entered scholarly circulation, including the researcher’s personnel file and interviews recorded after February 24, 2022. The internal logic of the scholar’s professional development has been reconstructed as a unity of biographical experience, pedagogical practice, academic inquiry, and civic engagement.
Conclusions. Mariia Pentyliuk is a key figure in the formation of modern Ukrainian linguodidactics, and her professional trajectory reflects the evolution of national language education in the second half of the 20th and early 21st centuries. The identified little-known facts significantly complement the established scholarly image of the researcher and demonstrate the decisive role of specific biographical circumstances in shaping her academic concept. The results of the study emphasize the importance of pedagogical biography as a promising area for the development of pedagogical science.
