Abstract
The article deals with the problem of developing students’ communicative competence in the process of language learning. Modern language teaching technologies aimed at the formation of communicative competence of school students are analyzed. The authors emphasize interactive, personality-oriented technologies and critical thinking development technologies as effective tools in language education. The results of a pedagogical experiment confirm the effectiveness of the proposed methodological approaches.
