Item PSYCHOMOTOR TRAINING OF THE MILITARY SAPPERS AS A MEANS OF REDUCING PERSONAL FEARS AND ANXIETY(2022) Khmiliar, O.; Khmiliar, R.; Koval, I.; Savchuk, O.; Dushka, A.; Bolotova, O.; Popovych, I. S.; Попович, І. С.The purpose of this study is to reveal the features of psychomotor training of a sapper, the development of the necessary sensory-intuitive skills to regulate their actions and deeds while performing tasks in the minefield. Material and methods. Three series of psychological experiments were conducted. The importance of psychomotor training in the context of reducing the level of anxiety and personal fears of sappers was revealed. The research was integrated into the process of training in the discipline “Blasting”. The study did not change the structure of the discipline, as it was only related to the content. The collected and analyzed data were used for the quantitative method. Results. It was determined that the most talented servicemen, with well-developed coordination of movements, mental stability, ability to regulate personal fears, make quick decisions, work alone for a long time, stay calm in tense situations, should be involved in the sappers’ activities. Conclusions. Our psychological training “Minefield” promotes the development of professionally necessary qualities among military sappers, provides the development of psychomotor and sensory-intuitive skills to regulate movements and actions during combat missions. Improves constructive attitudes in the unit of sappers, friendliness, reflexive listening, kindness, leadership and patience.Item ATHLETES’ RESILIENCE TYPOLOGY: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM SPORTS(2022) Popovych, I. S.; Radul, I.; Hoian, I.; Ohnystyi, A.; Doichyk, V.; Burlakova, I.; Попович, І. С.The purpose of the empirical study is to develop and substantiate a typology of athletes’ resilience, as well as to compare different types of resilience among representatives of individual sports and team sports. Individual sports are represented by athletes from athletics, boxing, and weightlifting (n=312; average age M=26.2), and team sports are represented by representatives from mini-football, football, handball, and volleyball (n=322, average age M=28.1). Research methods: psychodiagnostic methods that used scales to evaluate the content parameters of the researched phenomena in a relevant way; participant observation; k-means cluster analysis; Spearman method correlation analysis (rs); criterion angle-transformation of Fisher’s (φ). Results. It is substantiated that athletes’ resilience typology is a scientific classification of abstract theoretical complexes (types) that integrate the most essential content parameters, structural and functional characteristics of athletes’ resilience. Commitment (rs=.148), Control (rs=.086), Challenge (rs=.076), Hardiness (rs=.115), Emotional Stability (rs=.146), Cheerfulness (rs=.186), and Motivation to Succeed (rs=.202) were determined as the content factors with the strongest connection to Resilience (р<.01; р<.05). Individual and team sports were formed as empirical typologies of athletes’ resilience. Individual athletes’ resilience was classified into four types: Value- Oriented (VO), Motivational-Oriented (MO), Socially Acceptable (SA), and Emotionally Stable (ES). The following types of team sports athletes’ resilience were identified: Motivational-Valued (MV), Control- Pragmatic (CP), Socially Acceptable (SA), and Resilient (RS). The distinctions in content features of athletes’ socially acceptable types of resilience in individual and team sports are substantiated. Conclusions. The first hypothesis was confirmed when two types of athlete resilience were developed. The second hypothesis is confirmed since the construction of resilience types is based on the dominating levels of content parameters. The third hypothesis cannot be statistically proven or disproven since the three types of athletes’ resilience differ in content parameters and cannot be compared. The Socially Acceptable type was compared, but no significant differences were found (р ≥ .05). It is recommended that representatives of individual and team sports consider the obtained results and that they be operationalized in athletes’ tactical training.Item PLAYERS OF MALE TEAMS’ RESILIENCE: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CONTENT PARAMETERS(2022) Popovych, I. S.; Prytuliak, O.; Dushka, A.; Beregova, N.; Ihumnova, O.; Dzhyhun, L.; Попович, І. С.The purpose of the article is an empirical study and comparison of the content parameters of the resilience of male football teams that won (Group 1; n=66), lost Group 2; n=66), and drew (Group 3; n=44). Research methods: valid psychodiagnostic methods using standard survey forms were used in the study, as well as Spearman correlation analysis (rs) and the Student’s t-test. Results. It has been substantiated that the resilience of male football players is an integrated set of qualities, protective mechanisms, psychophysiological processes, and psycho-emotional states targeted at dealing with adversity, struggling, and overcoming/ not overcoming stress with a new level of functioning. It was found that the Resilience parameters of players who drew (Group 3) and players who won (Group 1) varied significantly RS (t=2.3; р<.05). It is explained that a team that receives a draw from the pre-game setup might develop such an expected model of events, which is followed by the mobilization of internal psycho-emotional efforts to the highest potential degree of player resilience. The resilience factors of Group 1 over Group 2 were revealed to be Cheerfulness (t=2.1; р<.05) and Motivation to Succeed (t=3.2; р<.01). It is established (р<.01; р<.05) and proven that an active life position, optimism, love for life, and emotional stability are powerful motivators for winning football players. Conclusions. The first hypothesis was rejected since the significant differences in resilience between Group 3 and Group 1 were t=2.3; р<.05, indicating that the players who played a draw outweighed the winners in terms of Resilience. The second hypothesis was confirmed since Group 3 respondents consistently outweighed Group 2 respondents in Resilience and Motivation to Succeed (р<.05). It is recommended to include the acquired results into the coaching staff’s work on football players’ tactical and psychological preparation for the game.
