І.; Шаповал, О.This article explores the concept of unnatural narration in Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel “Klara and the Sun” by analyzing its narrative structures, cognitive strategies, and ontological features. The study draws on the theoretical framework of unnatural narratology and cognitive literary studies to examine how the novel constructs an artificial intelligence narrator, challenges mimetic conventions, and invites the reader to re-evaluate the boundaries of narrative empathy. Special attention is paid to the representation of artificial intelligence, the limits of narrative voice, and the effect of nonhuman perspective on reader response. Ішіґуро «Похований велетень», а також на поясненні відмінних рис метамодернізму та виявленні лінгвокогнітивних засобів і наративних прийомів, що створюють поетику досліджуваного роману. Основною метою є розробка й опрацювання комплексної методології аналізування обраного матеріалу, яка уможливить установити лінгвокогнітивні та наративні механізми творення своєрідної поетики роману, що забезпечує особливий емоційний відгук і незгасаючий інтерес читачів до роману.This research focuses on revealing the peculiarities of poetics of narrative in fantasy fictional discourse namely in K. Ishiguro’s novel “The Buried Giant” which, in our view, belongs to metamodernism. The main objective of this research is to elaborate methodology aimed at defining the main categories of narrative and poetics of the novel, establishing the distinct features of metamodernism in the novel under analysis as well as explicating its linguistic means and narrative devices for creating unique poetics of narrative which ensures strong emotional response and unfading interest among the readers.
