У статті проаналізовано процес номінації засобами абревіації, визначено основні особливості абревіації як процесу номенотворчості, досліджено функціонування абревіатур у текстах різних стилів. The process of nomination by means of abbreviation has been analyzed in the article. The main abbreviation peculiarities as a process of nomination activities have been defined. The functioning of abbreviations in the texts of different stiles has been learned.
