    У статті висвітлено основні проблеми при перекладі кінотекстів взагалі і проаналізовано специфіку роботи перекладача зокрема, також висвітлено низку дискусійних питань, що потребують подальшого вивчення та детального опрацювання. The article highlights the main problems concerning movies’ translating in general and analyses the specificity of translator’s job in particular. Under discussion is also a series of translational aspects requiring further research and detailed elaboration.

    У статті детально аналізується український переклад Юрієм Андруховичем вірша поета-бітника Ґреґорі Корсо “Одруження” з погляду повноти відтворення асоціативного поля тексту-джерела, його лінгвопоетичних та соціокультурних особливостей. The article closely scrutinizes Gregory Corso’s poem “Marriage” in the Ukrainian translation by Yuriy Andrukhovych from the vantage point of reconstructing its associative field, as well as its poetic-linguistic and socio-cultural peculiarities.

    THE ART OF SCREEN ADAPTATION: RECOGNIZING SEMIOTIC DIFFERENCES OR THINKING OUTSIDE THE PAGE

    Дослідження присвячене феномену адаптації – процесу трансформування літературних творів у кіноверсії (включаючи римейки), що трактується як специфічний синтетичний тип взаємодії дискурсу художньої літератури та дискурсу кіно. Проналізовано існуючі у межах сучасної теорії адаптації підходи до трактування екранізації літературних творів. This research highlights the phenomenon of adaptation that stands for the process of transforming literary pieces into screenversions (including remakes) and is interpreted as a specific synthetic type of interaction of fiction discourse and cinema discourse. The existing approaches to the interpretation of adapting literary pieces to the screen have been analyzed within a modern theory of adaptation.
