Я.Дослідження зумовлено потребою аналізу бойових дій під час оборони Херсону. Історіографія радянської доби була спрямована на демонстрацію героїчних вчинків радянського керівництва та нівелювання прорахунків і невдалих стратегічних дій початкового етапу Другої Світової війни. Сучасна історія потребує критичного переосмислення військових поразок під час оборони Херсона, які репрезентують загальну тенденцію оборонних дій. The study is due to the need to analyze the fighting during the defense of Kherson. Historiography of the Soviet era was aimed at demonstrating the heroic deeds of the Soviet leadership and leveling miscalculations and unsuccessful strategic actions of the initial stage of World War II. Modern history requires a critical rethinking of military defeats during the defense of Kherson, which represent the general trend of defensive action.
