The qualifying paper is focused on the ways of developing students’ rhetorical skills in English language lessons in gymnasium. The work defines the linguistic principles of rhetorical skills development, it considers the psychological and pedagogical conditions for the effective development of rhetorical skills, the scientific work describes the teaching strategies and methods for introducing rhetorical knowledge in the English language lessons in the gymnasium and the system exercises was created.Item РИТОРИЧНА АРГУМЕНТАЦІЯ У СУЧАСНОМУ АНГЛОМОВНОМУ ДИСКУРСІ(2022) Кравець, В. В.У дослідженні розглянуто специфіку риторичної аргументації у сучасному англомовному дискурсі. Теоретичне обґрунтування висвітлює різні підходи до вивчення форм та змісту аргументів. Детально вивчено структурні характеристики аргументації (одиниця, види, техніки тощо). Проаналізовано моделі аргументації, що складаються з двох, трьох, чотирьох і більше елементів. Виокремлено різні аргументаційні техніки подачі матеріалу (пряма / непряма, низхідна / зростаюча, одностороння / двостороння, суперечлива / супровідна тощо). У процесі дослідження розглянуто види аргументів, що згруповані за змістом й формою. Проаналізовано традиційний розподіл аргументів на зовнішні (закони, факти, свідоцтва, приклади) та внутрішні (силогізми). Визначена система розподілу аргументів дозволила виокремити специфіку переконливих стратегій сучасного публічного дискурсу. Для розуміння останніх тенденцій було проведено аналіз публічних виступів еко активістки Ґрети Тунберг. Розгляд дозволив виявити основні тенденції в аргументації сучасної англомовної промови. This research addresses modern tendencies in rhetorical argumentation of modern English discourse. The theoretical rationale of the study lies in the different approaches to studying the forms of arguments and their content. The study defines the main components of rhetorical argumentation framework (an argumentative set, types of arguments, techniques etc.). The argumentative models with two, three, four and six main elements are considered in the article. In addition to this, the article deals with different types of argumentation techniques, such as direct/indirect, descending/ascending, one-sided/two-sided, contradictory/supporting, etc. The article also addresses the argument types grouped according to their form and content. The classification of intrinsic (syllogism) and extrinsic (laws, facts, testimonial evidence, examples, etc.) arguments is used as a basis. The argumentative system chosen allows for distinguishing the contemporary aspects of persuasive strategies in public appearance. To obtain an understanding of recent trends in argumentation the rhetorical analysis of Gretta Thunberg’s speech was performed.Item ТЕКСТОЦЕНТРИЧНИЙ АСПЕКТ ФОРМУВАННЯ РИТОРИЧНИХ УМІНЬ УЧНІВ НА УРОКАХ АНГЛІЙСЬКОЇ МОВИ(2021) Бурдюг, М. О.В роботі розглянуто текстоцентричний підхід до формування риторичних умінь учнів на уроках англійської мови і систематизовано та розроблено систему вправ направлену на формування риторичних умінь на основі англійськомовних текстів. Text-centered aspect of rhetorical skills formation at the English lessons is considered and a system of exercises aimed at the formation of rhetorical skills on the basis of English-language texts is systematized and developed.
