    У роботі автор досліджує історію зародження та подальшого розвитку лицарства як феномену західноєвропейської культури. Варто зауважити, що рицарі нерозривно пов’язані з епохою Хрестових походів, які часто в європейській історіографії розглядалися як протистояння західного та східного світогляду. Саме тому лицарство займає у шкільному курсі історії провідне місце, так як на прикладі цього уроку можна порівняти середньовічні європейську та арабо-мусульманську цивілізації, розкрити витоки нової європейської етики, яку часто називають куртуазною, а також узагальнити значення образу лицаря для світової історії. In this work, the author examines a history of origin and further development chivalry as a phenomenon of Western Europe culture. It is worth noting that the knights are inextricably linked with era of the Crusades, which were often seen in European historiography as a confrontation between Western and Eastern ideology. That is why chivalry occupies a leading place in the school course in history because this lesson can be used for compare medieval European and Arab-Muslim civilizations, reveal beginnings new European ethics, which often called like courteous and also summarize the importance of the image a knight for world history.

    Робота присвячена вивченню в шкільному курсі традицій запорізького козацтва в кавалерії російської імператорської армії. Визначені основні традиції, які існували на той час серед козаків. В работі проведені дослідження, які тривали у XVII – XVIII ст. , час, коли існували слобідські полки, які у 60- х роках були перетворені у гусарські полки регулярної армії Російської імперії. The work is devoted to the study of the traditions of the Zaporizhian Cossacks in the cavalry of the Russian imperial army in a school course. The main traditions that existed among the Cossacks at that time are defined. The work carried out research that continued in the 17th – 18th centuries. , the time when there were Slobid regiments, which in the 60s were transformed into hussar regiments of the regular army of the Russian Empire.
