М.Наукова робота присвячена дослідженню семантико-стилістичних конотацій чуттєвих образів в англійськомовній художній прозі. Увагу зосереджено на основних теоретичних положеннях дослідження лексики чуттєвого сприйняття, аналізі лексико-семантичних груп як засобу вивчення назв відчуттів, особливостях функціонування лексики на позначення чуттєвих образів у структурі художнього тексту, семантичних та стилістичних ознаках лексем на позначення відчуттів. The thesis deals with the research of semantic and stylistic connotations of sensory images in English prose fiction. Attention is focused on the main theoretical aspects of the study of vocabulary of sensory units, analysis of lexical-semantic groups as a means of studying the sensory names, the peculiarities of the functioning of lexical units denoting sensory images in the structure of the literary text, semantic and stylistic features of lexemes denoting sense perception.
