АНГЛО-ІРЛАНДСЬКА ВІЙНА (1919–1921) ТА ІРЛАНДСЬКА ГРОМАДЯНСЬКА ВІЙНА (1922–1923): ШЛЯХ ДО СТВОРЕННЯ ТА ПЕРШІ РОКИ ІСНУВАННЯ ІРЛАНДСЬКОЇ ВІЛЬНОЇ ДЕРЖАВИ

Abstract

Наукове значення роботи полягає в дослідженні питань пов’язаних з історичним періодом початку XX століття в історії Ірландії, а саме Ірландської Революції 1916-1923 років, яка розглядається у контексті Ірландської війни за незалежність та подальшої громадянської війни, адже ці два конфлікти значно вплинули на формування державних кордонів сучасної Республіки Ірландія та окремої Північної Ірландії. Розкрито основні передумови та причини початку Ірландської Революції, серед яких головною є Британське панування в Ірландії. Процес формування та роль ірландських націоналістичних рухів у цих двох конфліктах є доволі вагомим аспектом, особливо на ролі ІРА та стратегії партизанської війни. Розглядається період ранніх років існування Ірландської Вільної Держави в контексті створення її державних органів влади, описуються економічний та політичний аспекти існування Вільної Держави, що є важливим питанням, адже вона є попередником сучасної Республіки Ірландія. Англо-Ірландський мирний договір 1921 року, став однією з причин початку громадянської війни 1922-1923 років, окрім того умови договору значною мірою впливали на формування конституції та нормативно-правової бази Вільної держави. Загалом Ірландська Революція є важливим періодом для Ірландії, адже її результати вплинули на формування сучасних кордонів Республіки Ірландія та відносини зі Сполученим Королівством. The scientific significance of the work lies in the study of issues related to the historical period of the early 20th century in the history of Ireland, namely the Irish Revolution of 1916-1923, which is considered in the context of the Irish War of Independence and the subsequent civil war, as these two conflicts significantly influenced the formation of the state borders of the modern Republic of Ireland and a separate Northern Ireland. The main prerequisites and reasons for the beginning of the Irish Revolution are revealed, among which the main one is British rule in Ireland. The process of formation and the role of Irish nationalist movements in these two conflicts is a rather significant aspect, especially the role of the IRA and the strategy of guerrilla warfare. The period of the early years of the existence of the Irish Free State is considered in the context of the creation of its state authorities, the economic and political aspects of the existence of the Free State are described, which is an important issue, since it is the predecessor of the modern Republic of Ireland. The Anglo-Irish Peace Treaty of 1921 was one of the reasons for the outbreak of the Civil War of 1922–1923, in addition, the terms of the treaty significantly influenced the formation of the constitution and legal framework of the Free State. Overall, the Irish Revolution is an important period for Ireland, as its results influenced the formation of the modern borders of the Republic of Ireland and relations with the United Kingdom.
