Тhe essence of the concept of information literacy and media literacy is revealed in the work; features of computer use in preschool education are considered; psychological and pedagogical features of formation and structure of bases of information culture at children of senior preschool age are characterized; methods and features of research organization are defined; computer skills in preschool children have been experimentally confirmed.
