The theoretical bases of development of cognitive interest in the theory of pedagogical science are opened in the work; features and possibilities of development of cognitive interests at pupils of elementary school are considered; diagnostics of the level of cognitive activity of junior schoolchildren was carried out; methodical recommendations for creating a virtual tour in primary school have been developed.
