Звертається увага на особливості використання іронії в українській прозі. Подається комплексний аналіз ситуативної іронії та іронічної гри слів у романі Т. Антиповича "Мізерія". Досліджуються засоби реалізації іронії. The qualification paper considers the theoretical aspects of irony, its classification and functions in works of art. People pay attention to the peculiarities of using irony in Ukrainian prose. A comprehensive analysis of situational irony and ironic wordplay in T. Antipovich's novel "Mizeria" is presented. С.У кваліфікаційній роботі проведено порівняльний аналіз комедії «Мина Мазайло» М. Куліша та « Генерал» І. Багряного, а саме гумору і сатирі. У дослідженні авторка охарактеризувала сатиричні прийоми в комедіях «Мина Мазайло» М. Куліша та « Генерал» І. Багряного. In the qualifying work, a comparative analysis of the comedy «Mina Mazailo» by M. Kulish and «General» by I. Bagryany, namely humor and satire. In the study, the author described the satirical techniques in the comedies «Mina Mazailo» by M. Kulish and «General» by I. Bagryany.
