При сприйнятті й оцінці зовнішності інших людина спирається на вікові, національно-етнічні, естетичні, гендерні, соціально-статусні стереотипи, які функціонують в національній свідомості та розділяються кожним членом колективу цього товариства. The qualifying paper focuses on revealing gender stereotypes of female appearance on the basis of modern English prose works. In perceiving and assessing the appearance of others, a person relies on age, national-ethnic, aesthetic, gender, socio-status stereotypes, which function in the national consciousness and are shared by each member of the team of this society.
